Rebecca Felcey is a French designer and an artistic director. Thanks to this dual role she has a very creative approach and allow herself to do a rereading of the decoration. Her work is nourished by the dialogue between the individual and the universal. In other words, the “idea” of the designer at the heart of any creative project, and the function of the object, its universality. A recurring theme in Rebecca Felcey’s work is a search for formal and functional mastery, however regularly confronted with the “accident”. The latter becomes an integral part of the creative process. As a result this “deconstruction” gives all its emotion to some of her pieces. The Library «Désordonnier», for instance, stages a hole in the middle of the shelves which is incongruous and harmonious all together. |
