Rebecca Felcey is a French designer and an artistic director. This dual role gives her designs a very creative approach and allow a rereading of the decoration. Moreover her work is nourished by the dialogue between the individual, the “idea” of the designer at the heart of any creative project, and the function of the object, its universality. A recurring theme in Rebecca Felcey’s work is a search for formal and functional mastery, however regularly confronted with the “accident”. The latter becomes an integral part of the creative process. This “deconstruction” gives all its emotion to some of her pieces. The Library «Désordonnier», for instance, stages a hole in the middle of the shelves which is incongruous and harmonious all together. |

It presents fine details in the form of joints and connectors, revealing beautiful brass bolts as the linking pieces between the black steel base components.
